The waiting is the hardest part

I have been playing a waiting game lately. My husband and I embarked on a redo of one of our bedrooms. Since our children have moved out we now have new spaces to explore. We patched and painted the walls, new coat of paint for the floor, replaced some of the wood trim and hauled off a ton of stuff. So now with everything finally done, sewing machines in place, ironing board ready I am now ready to begin.

One of the best parts of being able to relocate to a permanent place is that I “found” fabric pieces that I had forgotten about. It was a grand adventure! The lace for my princess slip arrived today. The patterns have all been printed and taped. I am looking forward to being able to create, it will be wonderful.

Hello world!

This is shaping up to be a great and challenging year. I am going to try my hand at sewing some patterns from La Mode Illustree, these patterns have been copied by The 1912 Project in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. I am really looking forward to the experience and welcome you along for the ride!
